Radio class Wednesday night

Quick note for those planning to take the practice amateur radio (ham) exam after the class: If you want to get a feel for the material, you can play with the practice exams right now. (You’re interested in the Technician exam.) Jot down the topics and terms you want clarified!

We’ll be talking about a lot more than just amateur radio, of course. From commercial broadcasting to garage-door openers, if it transmits or receives a signal, it’s fair game! Class starts at 7, be there or be an infinite series of sine waves.

Cereal Bar Detroit is a breakfast gathering of people with something in common.  People who want to be inspired and to kick start their day off with a wholesome breakfast, great people and conversation.

The only criteria are that you have cereal. And we suppose that’s optional too. We will be providing the “yummies” and we are looking at you to provide the interesting conversation.

Build Party Friday at 6

Come by i3 Detroit this Friday 10/9 for our first build party, from 6PM to whenever. If you’ve been waiting for a chance to see i3 in action, this is a good one! Bring projects to work on, check out other people’s projects, or just hang out and chat. There will be pizza.

Grand Opening an awesome success!

Well, I don’t know about you but I had a great time tonight! So many fascinating people, so many interesting conversations. So much support! Royal Oak is really the right place for a space like ours, with neighbors who “get” what we’re doing. Get a load of  mayor Jim Ellison with a cutting torch, in what he said was his most unusual ribbon-cutting yet! There are more photos online already, and more will surely be added by the time you read this.
